Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of payments from customers at Toyota Butuan. The role requires keen attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage cash, checks, and card payments efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process payments from customers, including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
- Issue official receipts and invoices for payments made.
- Verify the accuracy of transaction details and ensure proper documentation.
- Handle refunds and adjustments in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Prepare daily transaction reports and reconcile cash collections with system records.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling policies and audit requirements.
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers during payment transactions.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding payments, invoices, and account balances.
- Assist customers with concerns related to billing and payment methods.
- Assist in preparing bank deposits and other financial documents.
- Coordinate with the accounting department for end-of-day cash balancing.
- Ensure proper safekeeping of cash and other financial assets.
- Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and financial transactions.
- Safeguard confidential financial information and maintain data security.
- Report any discrepancies or irregularities to the finance department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Accounting Graduate or any related course.
- Experience in handling cash, checks, and card payments is an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills with a pleasing personality.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and financial systems.
- Keen to details, ensuring accuracy in transactions and record-keeping.
- Willing to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays.
