Job Summary:
The Job Controller is responsible for monitoring and coordinating workshop activities to ensure efficient workflow, accurate job tracking, and timely completion of service and repair orders. This role supports service operations by organizing job schedules, maintaining proper documentation, and coordinating closely with technicians, service advisors, and other departments to ensure productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Job Monitoring and Control
- Monitor the progress of repair and maintenance jobs within the workshop.
- Ensure work orders are properly assigned and completed within target turnaround times.
- Track job status and coordinate with technicians and service advisors regarding updates and delays.
- Schedule and Coordination
- Assist in planning daily workshop schedules to optimize manpower and bay utilization.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure availability of parts, tools, and resources required for each job.
- Facilitate smooth workflow between service reception and workshop operations.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of job orders, service progress, and completion status.
- Prepare reports related to workshop productivity, job flow, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of service-related records.
- Communication and Team Support
- Build strong working relationships with service teams and other departments.
- Communicate job updates professionally and promptly to concerned personnel.
- Support management in implementing process improvements within service operations.
- Compliance and Work Standards:
- Ensure adherence to dealership policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Exercise integrity, sound judgement, and discretion when handling operational information.
- Maintain organized work systems to support efficient service operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College Graduate
- Possess good time management and organizational skills
- Possess a strong sense of integrity, good judgement, and discretion
- Able to build strong rapport with the team
- Preferably with a driver’s License
