Job Summary:
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned department, ensuring that business objectives, operational targets, and customer service standards are consistently achieved. The role involves leading and developing employees, implementing operational strategies, monitoring performance, and coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient dealership operations. The Manager is expected to make sound decisions, resolve operational concerns, and promote a productive, professional, and customer-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned department and ensure efficient workflow.
- Develop and implement operational plans, procedures, and strategies aligned with dealership objectives.
- Monitor departmental performance and ensure established targets and standards are achieved.
- Leadership and People Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate employees to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor employee performance, productivity, and work quality.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members to support their professional development.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive working environment.
- Planning and Performance Management
- Analyze operational reports, performance data, and key indicators to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop action plans to address performance gaps and improve departmental efficiency.
- Participate in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities as required.
- Customer Service and Relationship Management
- Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service and adherence to dealership standards.
- Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and facilitate appropriate resolutions.
- Promote a customer-focused culture among team members.
- Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth implementation of dealership programs and processes.
- Communicate management directives, policies, and operational updates effectively to employees.
- Prepare and present departmental reports and recommendations to management.
- Problem-Solving and Compliance
- Identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions to improve processes and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive operational and personnel matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or any related field
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
