Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and customers of Toyota Butuan. The role involves implementing and monitoring compliance with occupational safety and health standards, conducting risk assessments, safety training, and maintaining incident records. The Safety Officer will also oversee emergency response procedures and contribute to a culture of safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the company complies with all local and national safety regulations (DOLE, OSHC, etc.).
- Implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of workplace areas to identify and mitigate risks.
- Administer first aid and basic medical assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records, including injury logs and incident reports.
- Act as the point of contact during health and emergency situations.
- Organize and conduct safety orientations and training for all employees.
- Promote health and safety awareness through campaigns, drills, and other educational activities.
- Investigate workplace accidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Submit required safety reports to management and government agencies.
- Maintain safety-related documentation, permits, and certificates.
- Coordinated with HR and other departments on employee health and wellness programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- With a Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Certificate
- Hardworking and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in documentation and Microsoft Office applications
